This week, for the first time in a while, I feel like I’m ahead of the workflow I’ve set for myself. Tasks and projects that normally eat up most of my time were already checked off, giving me the chance to enjoy a few extra hours of rest as a reward. But here’s the thing: getting ahead on work isn’t just about clearing your plate. It’s about creating space to focus on what really matters. For me, that means tackling higher-level challenges in my business to keep growing. The tricky part is not getting too comfortable once you’re ahead, and I found myself pushing back against that tendency this week.
On a fun note, we had snow in Ames. I grabbed my phone, filmed a quick video set to music, and shared it on Instagram. To my surprise, it resonated and connected me with some new people in the area. It was a great reminder that even lower-effort content can be intentional and impactful. Since then, I’ve made a few more videos that, while smaller in reach, are still driving meaningful engagement. It’s proof that consistency and authenticity go a long way!
🔮 Inspiration from This Week
🍿 Video – Avicii – The Nights – 10 years since this banger came out. One of my favorite videographers, Rory Kramer, achieved full creative control over this song, and made an awesome music video out of it that helped inspire me to pursue what I want to pursue.

🎥 YouTube – Outer Banks Through My Camera: Reacting to My Favorite Shots! – I spent 20 minutes revisiting photos I took in the Outer Banks a few months ago, and it reminded me why I fell in love with photography in my late teens.
